What Types of Use May Cause Damage?

Proper handling and routine maintenance are essential to preserving the doll’s appearance, tactile feel, and structural integrity. Understanding the product’s design and avoiding improper operation can significantly reduce the risk of damage and extend its service life.

Forcing Joints or Attempting Extreme Poses

  • The doll uses an internal metal skeleton designed to approximate human articulation and can achieve most common poses. However, each joint has a specific range of motion, and not every movement a human body can perform is suitable for the doll.
  • If you feel clear resistance while adjusting a joint, do not force it further. Return the joint along the same path to a natural position. Forcing the movement may damage the joint structure or place excessive tension on the silicone surface.
  • Always adjust joints slowly, smoothly, and according to the recommended operating method.

Do Not Test the Structural Limits

  • Although the doll can support normal posing and use, poses that exceed its structural design can place excessive loads on specific areas.
  • Do not attempt extreme or limit-testing positions. Avoid unsupported standing, kneeling, or positions in which the limbs bear substantial body weight beyond the intended design. Never display or store the doll in a pose that exceeds its structural limits, as this may overstress the joints, connection points, and other load-bearing areas.

Improper Handling or Transport

  • The doll is heavy, and movement creates considerable inertia and localized forces.
  • Dragging the doll or pulling it by the hands, feet, arms, or legs may damage the silicone surface or place unnecessary stress on the internal structure.
  • Use proper support when moving the doll. Assess whether you need assistance from another person to prevent drops, impacts, or damage caused by improper handling.

Excessive Handling of Delicate Areas

  • The fingers, toes, mouth, eyes, eyelashes, and similar details are relatively delicate and require gentle handling.
  • Frequently changing the eyes, pulling the fingers, or forcing the mouth/jaw beyond its intended opening range may increase the risk of localized damage.
  • Take extra care to protect these areas when dressing, cleaning, or posing the doll.

Improper Cleaning

  • Silicone surfaces require gentle care.
  • Do not use highly acidic, highly alkaline, or corrosive cleaning products, and do not repeatedly scrub the surface with abrasive tools. These practices may damage the silicone or surface finish.
  • Avoid excessive friction on any single area, especially painted or made-up areas.

Prolonged Contact with Potentially Damaging Materials

  • Dark or poorly colorfast clothing may transfer dye to the silicone surface during prolonged contact.
  • Tight clothing, compression garments, or other objects that continuously press against the surface may also leave pressure marks.
  • For long-term storage, use loose, light-colored clothing or, preferably, store the doll without clothing.

Incorrect Use of Electronic Functions (for models with electronic features)

If your product includes electronic functions, operate them only as instructed.

When using electronic features, do not:

  • Rinse the doll directly or immerse it in water;
  • Force a function to operate when connectors are not properly attached;
  • Use an incompatible power supply;
  • Operate a heating function continuously for an excessive period.

Incorrect operation may damage electronic components and may create a safety risk.

Unsuitable Storage Conditions

  • Long-term exposure to direct sunlight, high or low temperatures, or humid conditions may accelerate oxidation and aging, affect surface color, and interfere with electronic components.
  • Store the product in a dry, room-temperature location away from direct sunlight. Keep sharp objects and items that may compress the doll away from the storage area.
