Silicone is a soft, stable material with a realistic tactile feel. Understanding its characteristics and following proper care practices will help preserve the product’s appearance, feel, and overall condition over time.
Soft and Flexible, but Not Indestructible
- Silicone has good flexibility and elasticity and can provide a skin-like feel. However, unlike human skin, its ability to recover from prolonged stretching, compression, or unnatural stress is limited.
- Avoid keeping the doll in extreme poses for extended periods, excessively pulling the surface, or allowing sharp objects to contact the silicone, as this may cause dents, deformation, or damage.
A Slight Oily Feel Is Normal
- After extended storage, the silicone surface may develop a slight oily feel. This is a normal material characteristic and does not affect normal use.
- If the surface feels noticeably oily, apply a light amount of the supplied care powder/baby powder and gently distribute it over the surface to restore a dry, smooth feel.
Avoid Prolonged Contact with Materials That May Transfer Dye
- Silicone surfaces can be susceptible to dye transfer. Prolonged contact with dark-colored or poorly colorfast clothing may stain the surface.
- We recommend light-colored clothing and performing a dye-transfer test before use whenever necessary.
Avoid Direct Sunlight and Extreme Environments
- Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or intense lighting may accelerate oxidation and aging, affect surface color stability, and reduce the durability of painted or makeup areas.
- Avoid storing the product in extremely hot, cold, or humid environments to help maintain material stability.
Use Gentle Cleaning Methods
- Clean silicone products using gentle methods.
- Do not use highly acidic, highly alkaline, or corrosive cleaning products. Avoid sharp or abrasive cleaning tools, as they may damage the silicone surface or painted finish.
