Clothing Selection and Wearing Precautions

Dressing the doll in different styles can enhance its overall presentation. However, prolonged contact with certain garments may cause dye transfer, pressure marks, or increased surface wear.

01 | Dark or Heavily Dyed Clothing

Dark, brightly colored, or heavily dyed garments may transfer color to the silicone surface during prolonged contact.

Even washed new clothing cannot be guaranteed to be completely colorfast. We therefore do not recommend leaving dark clothing on the doll for extended periods or using it for long-term storage.

To reduce the risk of staining:

  • Wash new clothing before use;
  • Minimize continuous wear time for dark garments;
  • Choose light-colored clothing for long-term display or storage.

If you are unsure whether a garment may stain the doll, perform a dye-transfer test first.

  • At the factory, a silicone protective sleeve made from the same type of silicone as the doll is fitted over the head connector/neck interface. This sleeve can be used for clothing dye-transfer testing.
  • Remove the sleeve and wrap it tightly in the garment you wish to test for at least 24 hours. Then inspect the silicone for color transfer.
  • If staining appears, avoid prolonged direct contact between that garment and the doll. If no obvious staining appears, the risk is lower, but not eliminated. Fabric, dye, and environmental conditions vary, so we still recommend shorter wear periods initially and regular inspection of contact areas.
  • Keep the silicone test sleeve for future clothing tests.

02 | Tight or Restrictive Clothing

Shapewear, corsets, tight trousers, underwire bras, and other garments that create significant compression should not be left on the doll for extended periods.

Continuous pressure may leave marks on the silicone surface. Some marks may gradually recover, but prolonged compression can still affect the appearance.

For photography or display, change the doll into loose, soft clothing after use.

03 | Heavy or Rigid Clothing

Jeans, leather garments, heavy coats, and clothing with metal, boning, or other rigid components may increase friction and localized pressure on the silicone.

When dressing the doll in jeans, we recommend putting on a layer of stockings or pantyhose first. This reduces friction between denim and silicone and makes dressing and undressing easier.

04 | Clothing with Sharp Hardware

Zippers, rivets, metal fasteners, sharp decorations, and other hard components may scratch or puncture the silicone during dressing, undressing, or posing.

Before dressing the doll, inspect the inside of the garment and all hardware to make sure nothing will directly scrape or press against the silicone surface.

05 | Clothing for Long-Term Display or Storage

For hanging storage, we recommend a light-colored, non-underwire bra to provide appropriate breast support and reduce the long-term effects of gravity.

If outer clothing will remain on the doll for long-term display or storage, choose:

  • Light colors;
  • Soft, breathable, colorfast fabrics such as cotton or knit materials;
  • Properly sized garments that do not create compression.

Avoid leaving dark, tight, or rigid garments on the doll for extended periods to reduce the risk of staining, pressure marks, and localized stress.
