The doll has substantial weight and, unlike a person, cannot actively shift its center of gravity to assist you. Moving it therefore requires additional support and stability.
Proper handling not only reduces physical strain on you, but also lowers the risk of damage caused by drops, impacts, or concentrated stress on individual parts.
01 | Prepare Before Moving
- Before moving the doll, make sure the destination is ready.
- Clear the route in advance. Ensure there is enough space, the floor is level, and there are no steps, obstacles, or slippery areas. Prepare the final resting surface—such as a bed, sofa, or another soft, flat support—before lifting the doll.
- This prevents you from having to search for a place to set the doll down or move other objects while carrying it, reducing both carrying time and the risk of accidental impact or dropping.
- For stairs or longer distances, assess whether you need assistance from another person.
02 | Use a Wheeled Aid Whenever Possible
- For moving the doll indoors, we recommend using a stable wheeled aid whenever possible, such as an office chair, wheelchair, or other sturdy rolling seat.
- Place the doll securely on the seat first, then move it slowly to the destination. This can significantly reduce the strain of carrying the doll over longer distances and lower the risk of drops or collisions.
03 | How to Lift the Doll Correctly
- If a moving aid cannot be used, the doll may be carried directly.
- A bridal-carry position is recommended: support the shoulders/back and upper body with one arm, and support the buttocks through the knee area with the other, distributing the weight evenly.
- When lifting, rise slowly using your legs and keep your back in a natural, upright position. Avoid lifting primarily with your lower back.
04 | When Setting the Doll Down
- Make sure both hands are protected and positioned safely—for example, naturally crossed over the chest—to reduce the risk of hand or finger damage while lowering the doll.
- Lower the doll slowly and steadily. Do not release it suddenly or place it down abruptly.
- Only release your support gradually after the body is fully and stably in contact with the supporting surface.
05 | Handling Methods to Avoid
To protect the product, do not:
- Move or lift the doll by the head, arms, legs, or other non-load-bearing parts;
- Keep the body suspended for an extended period;
- Set the doll down abruptly or allow it to collide with objects or fall.
These actions can create excessive localized stress and increase the risk of damage to the silicone surface, internal skeleton, or joint structure.
