Joint and Pose Adjustment Guide

Each joint has its own designed direction and range of rotation or extension. Before use, please watch the joint-operation instruction video carefully. Do not over-rotate or overextend any joint, as this may damage or permanently break the joint mechanism.

What Is the Difference Between Standard and Loose Joints?

Different joint-tension options are available to suit users who prioritize pose retention or easier articulation.

  • Standard Joints

Standard joints provide stronger resistance and support, helping the doll hold most everyday display, photography, and posing positions. New standard joints may initially feel relatively firm or damped; this is intentional and provides more stable support.

  • Loose Joints

Loose joints have lower movement resistance. The limbs may naturally drop under their own weight and therefore cannot hold fixed poses in the same way as standard joints. They are also not suitable for standing display. Loose joints are intended for users who specifically prefer easier articulation.

Loose-joint configurations are designed by body region rather than making every joint equally loose:

  • Neck, wrist, and ankle joints retain standard-joint tension;
  • Waist and thigh joints retain some resistance for support, but are more flexible than standard joints;
  • Other joints use the loose-joint design for smoother, easier posing.

These differences are intentional design characteristics, not quality defects. Select the configuration that best suits your intended use.

Are Tight Joints on a New Doll Normal?

Yes.

During shipping and storage, the product remains in a relatively fixed position, so the joints may feel tight when first adjusted.

Do not repeatedly force the joints simply to loosen them. Instead, adjust poses slowly as needed and allow the joints to gradually settle into normal use.

Joint feel may change somewhat over time with regular use. This is normal.

How Do I Adjust Poses Correctly?

  • Always use slow, controlled movements.
  • Use both hands when moving a joint: support or stabilize the joint area with one hand while using the other hand to position the limb. Follow the official instruction video carefully. Incorrect operation may cause joint displacement or skeleton damage.
  • Do not twist the silicone surface directly.
  • Finger bones and finger joints are particularly delicate. Follow the supplied operation video and handle them with extra care.
  • When changing clothing or putting gloves on the doll, protect the fingers from being pulled or bent by the fabric. Avoid unnecessary repeated manipulation.

What Should I Do If I Feel Resistance?

If you feel clear resistance while adjusting a joint, do not force it further. Return the joint along the same path to a natural position.

The doll’s joints are not infinitely rotating ball joints. Every joint has a designed direction and range of motion.

Forcing a joint beyond its normal range may place excessive stress on the internal structure and silicone surface and can cause damage.

Are Joint Noises Normal?

Some products may produce light friction or movement sounds when the joints are adjusted.

This is generally a normal result of the internal joint mechanism moving and usually does not affect use.

The sound may decrease as the joints are operated over time.

What Should I Know About Holding Poses for Long Periods?

Although the doll can achieve many natural poses, it is not designed to remain in high-stress or extreme positions for extended periods.

Avoid:

  • Prolonged kneeling;
  • Allowing the limbs to support substantial body weight for long periods;
  • Forcing poses beyond the natural joint range;
  • Prolonged unsupported standing.

For long-term display, use a bed, sofa, cushions, or other supports to distribute body weight and reduce continuous stress on joints and silicone areas.

Is It Normal for Joints to Become Looser Over Time?

Yes. With long-term use and frequent pose adjustments, some gradual reduction in joint tension is normal.

Moderate changes generally do not prevent normal use. To preserve joint condition, avoid repeatedly testing extreme ranges or leaving joints under excessive load for long periods.

Important Reminder

The joints are designed to provide natural, human-like articulation, but this does not mean the doll can perform every movement possible for a human body.

When posing, follow three principles: move slowly, distribute force evenly, and never overextend.

Correct handling protects both the joint structure and silicone surface and helps extend the product’s service life.
