A wig helps complete the doll’s overall appearance. Correct fitting, brushing, and routine care will help maintain a natural look and extend the wig’s service life.
Synthetic wigs are made from specialized fibers and behave differently from human hair. Follow the care instructions below to preserve their shape and texture.
01 | Before Putting on the Wig
Before fitting the wig:
- Put on the supplied nude-colored wig cap first. This prevents the wig net from directly contacting the head and reduces the risk of dye transfer.
- Make sure the head surface is clean and dry.
- Gently arrange the wig so the fibers lie naturally and are not severely tangled.
If the wig has minor deformation or compression marks from shipping, gently reshape the fibers before fitting.
02 | How to Put on the Wig
Align the front edge of the wig with the forehead, then gradually pull it backward so it covers the head evenly.
Recommended steps:
- Hold the inner edges on both sides of the wig.
- Align the front edge with the forehead.
- Slowly pull the wig toward the back of the head.
- Adjust the position until the hairline sits naturally.
After fitting, gently arrange the hair on both sides and at the back.
Do not reposition the wig by pulling directly on the outer hair fibers, as this may cause shedding or tangling.
03 | How to Brush the Wig
Synthetic wig fibers are relatively delicate. Use a wide-tooth comb or a comb designed for wigs.
Recommended method:
- Start by detangling the ends.
- Gradually work upward toward the roots.
- For curly or specially styled wigs, do not force the fibers straight, as this may damage the original style.
For significant tangles, separate the fibers gently with your fingers before combing. Do not pull forcefully or brush rapidly, as this can increase shedding and alter the style.
04 | Routine Wig Care
To maintain a natural appearance:
- Keep the wig away from high temperatures, heat sources, prolonged direct sunlight, and high-heat hair dryers.
- Do not use hair dye, heated styling tools, or care products that are not suitable for synthetic wigs.
- Avoid frequent rubbing or pulling.
- Keep the wig dry and do not store it in a damp environment.
- We do not recommend commercial “wig conditioning spray.” If light moisture is needed, use a small amount of clean water.
If cleaning is required, use a method suitable for synthetic fibers and allow the wig to air-dry naturally.
05 | Wig Storage
For long-term storage:
- Gently detangle and smooth the wig first.
- Make sure it is fully dry before storage.
- Store it in a dry, ventilated area.
- Keep heavy objects off the wig to prevent deformation.
Where possible, use a wig stand or mannequin head to help preserve the shape.
